“Face Value” is a final-year short film I worked on for some Television & Film students at Falmouth University.
“In the attempt to create a masterpiece, aspiring artist Kaia finds herself on a haunted journey full of confusion as she struggles to create a self-portrait that it true to herself, yet perfect in every single way.”
The poster centres around repetition. During the film, Kaia spends ages re-doing a setch of her face for a self-portrait. The bulk of the poster is made up of repeated facial features merged and melting together, mostly eyes.
Along with the posters, I moved some of the eyes about to create a moving frame for title cards and a credit sequence.
